The selection of Baku as the host for the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference has been met with negative reactions from organizations, groups, and independent environmental and human rights activists worldwide. From their perspective, a set of legal and technical reasons and variables confirm that the Republic of Azerbaijan is not a suitable choice for hosting the UN Climate Change Conference.
